 UNTAMED IDEAS
4th Grade – facilitated by Katherine Dines

I was thinking about a green growing room,
That could grow enough veggies to feed us by noon.
Or how about a magical cloud,
You could ride– you could ride?
Over the rainbow and into the sky–
Up to the moon, so far and wide…
UNTAMED IDEAS come and go.

UNTAMED IDEAS, come and go.
They move like lightening, or the process is slow.
UNTAMED IDEAS, can travel far,
Or soar through the sky like a shooting star.

What if choc’late and mustard were mixed with dirt,
And that weird combination
Could light the whole the earth?
Just ask your heart what you can achieve,
And believe… and believe…
Over the rainbow or into the sky.
Up to the moon, so far and wide…
UNTAMED IDEAS come and go.

Repeat chorus and end with:

Or soar through the sky like a shooting star.

MY DOOR OF DREAMS
4th Grade facilitated by Katherine Dines

I see a cabin in the mountains,
Or a boathouse by the sea–
A world full of wonder and possibility.
A valley with a rainbow.
Dragons in the sky,
With big puffy clouds,
Slowly floating by…

MY DOOR OF DREAMS is always open,
To anyone who cares to see.
It has a lock—that can’t be broken,
By anyone but me.
MY DOOR OF DREAMS is always swinging,
Back and forth against the wind.
MY DOOR OF DREAMS
Is only waiting…
Until I let somebody in.

I see a chocolate glazed donut,
Or a rocket ship in space.
A purple Lambourgini in a big town race.
A teacher in pajamas,
Playing a guitar
Or dancing at a disco, with a superstar…
CHORUS REPEAT

FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
2nd Grade – facilitate by Katherine Dines

A tiny egg on a hollyhock
Hatched one April morn’
It was a little caterpillar
Ready to transform.

First it munched a bunch of leaves.
All it did was eat!
Its exoskeleton fell off,
Right in front of me!

A FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
Magic happens when I close my eyes!
A green and gold chrysalis—
Metamorphosis!
FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
Magic happens when I close my eyes!
FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
A beautiful butterfly!

A FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
Magic happens when I close my eyes!
A green and gold chrysalis—
Metamorphosis!
FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
Magic happens when I close my eyes!
FLUTTERBYE… BUTTERFLY
A beautiful butterfly!
A beautiful butterfly!
A beautiful butterfly!  Bye Bye Butterfly!

I’M NOT A CHICKEN!
Kindergarten – Facilitated by Katherine Dines

When I was a baby
I spit up milk and goo
Snuggled in my nest at night
And picked and pecked my food. But,
I’M NOT A CHICKEN! I never had a beak
My egg tooth didn’t hatch me. My mom did. What a feat!
I’M NOT A CHICKEN! There was no yoke for me.
I’M NOT A CHICKEN! Can you see? Can you see?

I race around the playground
Chasing all my friends
Flap my arms and kick up dirt…I try to act like them. (Buk Buk) But…
I’M NOT A CHICKEN! I don’t have claws for feet,
Or race around a chicken coop
From roosters scaring me.
No, I’M NOT A CHICKEN!
I don’t have feathered wings
I’M NOT A CHICKEN! Can you see? Can you see?
I’M NOT A CHICKEN! I’m the one and only me.

(Squawk, bwakkk, peep, cheep)  chicken sounds
Wait a minute.  I said I was a kid!  YEAH!
